Pocopson Depot--7/26/05

The Pocopson depot is no longer in use as a train depot; it's currently a veterinary clinic. But it's stone construction and unique architectural features make it an eye-catching landmark on PA 926 and Pocopson Road. It backs up to the flood plain for the Brandyine River, which is just about 100 yards back from the structure. The first floor is built with serpentine stone, which is a greenish stone found only in the West Chester area. I haven't been inside this place, but I'd like to some day.
